Hi! I am Yihan Hou (侯伊涵), a Year 3 PhD candidate in the Computational Media and Arts Thrust at the Information hub, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), co-supervised by Prof. Wei Zeng and Prof. Huamin Qu.

My research is grounded in Human-Computer Interaction and delves into the interplay of Artificial Intelligence, Visual Perception and Design, focusing specifically on their integration in Human-AI Interaction. I develop algorithms and interactive systems that enhance collaborative authoring tasks in visualization and color design, where human expertise and AI's computational capabilities mutually inform each other. The core objective is to establish a bidirectional knowledge exchange between human designers and AI, and streamline the design process for intuitive and efficient outcomes.

My specific interests lie in computational color design, particularly color semantics, along with dashboard design. I am exploring the application of large models to facilitate advancements in these areas. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in collaborating!
